Is Abdominal Gurgling Due To Long Term Usage Of Fish Oil?

I have experiencing strong sounds coming from my stomach and travelling through the esophagus. This does not prompt me to burp. I do not have any pain but it is unpleasant and embarrassing. I have been taking fish oil liquid for a long period of time and I wonder this is linked to fish oil side effects. Otherwise my health is fine

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if abdominal gurgling due to long term usage of fish oil . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastritis , indigestion , lactose intolerance or side effects , infection or food allergy , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to side effects of fish oil . Fish oil is known to cause fulness or bloated feeling in stomach . I would suggest you to limit your intake of foods that produce gas like , fruits , beans , artificial sweeteners or carbonated drinks . Also start drinking luke warm water and stop taking fish oil and take alternative source of omega 3 like walnuts . If there will be bleeding from rectum along with gurgling sound immediately consult gastroenterologist .
