Is Abdominal Discomfort After Banding In Hepatitis Patient Normal?
My father has hepititis and as a result scirrosis and recently had an emergency with varices bleeding they did banding to stop the bleeding. What should he expect after this has been done? He is currently two days post procedure and is feeling abdominal discomfort he says, bloating.

Yes, this is normal since liver may be enlarged and during banding it may be irritated but also there may gallbladder stone so you should repeat ultrasound to rule this out and measure your liver size.
