Is Abdominal Bloating Related To Hashimoto S Thyroiditis?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto s Thyroiditis 7 years ago and have been taking Synthroid ever since. As far as the fatigue and most of the symptoms are concerned, I feel all right, but I ve lately begun to have terrible abdominal bloating, as well as water retention in my joints. I cut out gluten as saw no change--in fact, I systematically went through a number of possible causes, but nothing changed. I m a young 62, active, and have never weighed more than 115 lbs. Since 2006, however, I have gained 25 lbs. Is there some way to fight this bloating?

It appears to be the arthritis, may be osteo, or rheumatoid arthritis.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
Bloating may be due to infection in the intestines.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloacin, ornidazole, and ranitidine.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts,and
protein rich foods to hasten the recovery.
