Is A Painless Lump In Lower Stomach After Lifting Heavy Object A Hernia?
Hello, atempted to lift a roll of carpet and upon trying to stand up felt pressure on the lower part of my stomach before dropping it. It appears i could feel a little lump that was not causing any pain. This lump has since dissapeared after only 24 hours but i am scared to lift anything now or train in the gym could this be or have been some sort of hernia? Is there anything i can do to prevent this happening again such as exercises etc??
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The painless lump in the lower abdomen can be hernia if the swelling enlarges on coughing and decreases on lying down. In case the size of swelling is constant then it is more likely to be due to hematoma or muscle spasm. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
