Is A Painful Bruise Caused Post A Dog Bite A Serious Concern?

My dog accidentally bit me while play fighting with my other dog and he got near me and accidentally bit me and I didn t bleed but I have a bruise on my leg now and it feels like a lump and I get sharp pains from time to time and even when I touch it . Should I go to a doctor ?

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
IT's body reaction ( inflammation ) due to trauma involving skin & subcutaneous tissue because of dog bite... that has created your symptoms.
Please visit your doctor for getting Tetanus toxoid injection . Also infirm him Anti rabies vaccination status of your dog. Though you did not have bleeding, in view of-the teeth marks on skin & possibility of contamination with dog saliva( if not regularly vaccinated )... he will start with the course of Rabipur vaccination course to you as per need.
Management of local wound.. by cleaning with soap & water/ applying TR iodine along with oral anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen & antibiotic as per doctor's advise is a must or the local symptoms you have.
