Is A Lump Under The Left Nipple A Concern?

Hello, we are trying to convieve our 4th child. I am 9 dpo and found a lump under my left nipple, I'm trying to figure out if it could be a swollen milk duct or something else? Why did I get it now, is it a sign of pregnancy? Should I wait until I find out whether or not I'm pregnant before I get it checked out? If it helps determine I breastfed almost 2 yrs ago and my son favored that breast. Thank you

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It doesn't mean you are pregnant. Many disease condition and hormonal irregularities can cause milk secretion in non-pregnant women. You can go for a urine pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy.

Wishing all the best.

Thanks.
