Is A Lump On The Upper Thigh Indicative Of Lymphoma?

I have a large lump on my upper thigh. It seems larger when off my feet. Example: in bed. It is about three inches long and under the skin. It is located on the front of the thigh. Is this something that should be checked out? It is not in the groin area. My father and brother have both had lymphoma.
