Is A Lump On The Neck Indicative Of Thyroid Problems?

Doctor, I'm a 35 years old girl. I am very slim (thin). My problem is based on Thyroid.

There is a something like a lump on my neck. So I took these tests.

ESR (1 st hour) - 12 mm

TSH (3rd Generation) - 1.51 miu/ml

It also mentioned that adult reference ranges as: 0.4-4.0 miu/ml (Chemiluminescent EIA method)

My question is there a problem in my Thyroid gland? Is there a relationship between ESR and Thyroid problems?

Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I can understand your concern but the information you gave about the nodule is very poor. Is the nodule at the anterior part of the neck or is at the lateral cervical region?
The ESR is within the normal ranges, anyway there is no relationship between the thyroid nodule and ESR.
The next examination that i would suggest in your case is the ultrasound of the thyroid gland and the cervical region.
It gives important information regarding the nodule (the dimensions, structure, the borders, vascularisation ect.) and after the ultrasound we can decide to do further examinations or not.
Hope i was useful.

Kind regards
