Is A Leaky Heart Valve And Enlarged Areas Curable?

My sister in the hospital now waiting to take to the heart Doc. Her internist said he reviewed her echo and said it was not as hopeful as they were expecting. Said she has a leaky valve and some enlarged areas. Her sympthons are hi blood pressure and eratic heart beat. Pulse rate also shoots up when ever she gets out of bed, walks, any movement. Anything you can tell me?

Hi,

In this case treatment strategies depend on her valve leakage severity, if she has severe valve problems there will be need for surgical repair, but if the problems are not so severe she can be treated with the medications.

There are different types of medication for such conditions, after the examination your doctor will determine the medications and dosage she needs, which will help her to feel good

Hope I could help you

In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask

Regards,

I find this answer helpful
