Is a hard lump on the roof of the mouth malignant?

I Am 46...never smoked...visit Dentist every 6 months and just had X-rays...I have a flesh colored...a bit more white looking or may be the flashlight I used...hard bump on roof of mouth that will somedays be flat and others be more filled. Never grows and only in one spot. No pain. Was at destist about 2 months ago and they barely saw it and nothing on X-ray...bump was flat that day. Fearful oral cancer.

* Very unlikely to be cancer ,as the cancer lesion will not stay at the same
spot with same size till 2 months .
