Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a hard marble sized lump in the fold of my right armpit. No external lesion. Showed up about 3 to 4 days ago. Tender but not a lot of pain. No history of any cancers in my family. I am a 52 year old male, type 1 diabetic since age 40. What could this lump be? Could it be an infected sweat gland, or possibly cancerous?

Is A Hard Lump In The Armpit A Concern?
Hello, It could be due to an enlarged lymph node (infection, inflammation or cancerous), sebaceous cyst, an abscess, or ingrown hair infection. I advise you to visit a surgeon to get it examined and treated accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
