Is A Feeling Of Heart Squeezing Normal?

I am fourteen and every once in a while my heart will hurt so badly as if .someone were squeezing it with all their might and it also feels as if it has stopped. When I told my parents about this they said I was crazy and that it is all in my head. Is this normal and if so what is it? PS My most frequent case of this happened last night.

Hi welcome to HCM
I understand your query and concern.
Your symptoms are related to anxiety most problably, but get an ECG,2 dimensional echo of your heart by consulting your cardiologist. You may need low dose propranolol.Do not worry.Avoid stress and anxiety.Exercise regularly do meditation and yoga.Drugs like propranolol and clonazepam will help if taken on short term basis. If symptoms still persist consult cardiologist for expert management.Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
