Is A Dog Bite Slightly Bruised Up A Matter Of Concern?

I was bitten by a dog about 1.5 months ago on my lower inner thigh. The skin broke and I cleaned it and kept it cleaned the following days. It did bruise up quickly and was there for about 2.5 weeks. It s been over a month now and it tends to be really itchy to the point that it will break out in hives. Sometimes it even is tender and swells up. Should I go see a doctor?
