Is A Delayed Period A Sign Of Pregnancy?
sir,i did unprotected sex with my girl frnd on 28th june but i hope that the simen did not went to her but it is not sure.. next day her period came.. she took unwanted72 after near about 50hours of our intercourse in the time of period...till now(4th august) her period did not came & we both very upset....is there any chances of pregnency???

1. If your girl friend had started her menses on the day next to the intercourse, you do not have to worry about pregnancy due to this sexual act. She is not pregnant.
2. There was no necessity of consuming Postinor 2 since she had menses after the sexual intercourse. However, she has taken the pills within 72 hours of the intercourse. So she has taken them within the prescribed time.
3. After Postinor, the menses do get delayed for about a week or so. So you may wait expectantly for the periods to appear. If they do not appear even after a week, she may take Tab. Deviry for 5 days and 4-7 days after that, she will get withdrawal bleeding.
4. To avoid such stressful situations in future, please follow some reliable contraceptive method like contraceptive pills, condom or intrauterine device.
