I just moved to the area, and went to a new Doctor that specializes in Family Practice for a physical. He informed me that physicals are a waste of time at my age. I am 47 year old male, on high cholesterol medication, and high blood pressure medication. He stated that we just need to monitor these conditions at this point, and to come see him in 6 months for a medicine check and liver functions. I brought my medical records from the Cardiologist that I had when I lived in the other part of the country. I was in and out of his office in less than 20 minutes. He asked a few questions, and only checked my blood pressure. I have not had a physical in 5 years. Is this correct for my age?
