Is A Change In Birth Control Pills Harmful?

I m taking Ortho Evra Tri-cyclen as a form of birth control and I ve been taking it for about 3 years. I m down to my last week of pills and because pills are very costly where I live, I m stuck with the option of taking a different brand of birth control pills. My question is: Is it safe if I take a different brand for a week if I ve taken one brand for 3 years? Will it protect me the same??

hello,
You can safely switch from one type of birth control to another by going straight from one method to the next one ( no gap ) and use condoms or spermicide for the first 7 days.
This way there won't be any tension.
Thanks
