Is A Biopsy Test Required To Find The Cause For Thickened Endometrial Lining?

Just got results back from ultrasound. Normal uterus size, normal ovaries. One small 3mm cyst. Endometrial lining thick at 11.6mm, I am 52 and have had three c-sections. They say my uterus may be tight because of this. Want to do a biopsy. Kind of just scared

The endometral lining more than 11 mm has an increased risk for endometral cancer adenocarcinoma.
The biopsy is done by curettage . Is just like an abortion procedure.
