Xyzal is a second generation less sedating antihistamine (Levocetirizine) which is the most effective and safer medicine for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. Celestamine contains a potent steroid Betamethasone & and a sedating antihistamine Dexchlorphenamine maleate. Betamethasone use may be associated with certain harmful side effects such as stomach ulcer, increased blood glucose, increased BP, thinning of the bones, delayed wound healing, an increased risk of opportunistic infections, skin discoloration, thin and fragile skin, abdominal distention, etc. Dexchlorphenamine may cause excessive drowsiness, dry mouth, blurring of the vision, increased heart beats, constipation and retention of urine.
