Is Valparin Chrono Safe And Effective In Treatment Of Depression?
My son 31 years was treated for depression,(his memory was not quick,hot tempered,does not like to responsibilities,had a big appetite,)Till recently he took One 200mg quetiapine film coated tablet in the night,this he has taken for nearly 1year. Recently the Psychatric stopped this drug and advised to take valparin chrono 300mg for 5 days and therafter 6oomg daily in the night. Is this ok,

Valparin chrono contains valproate and it is a mood stabilizer. It is effective in mood disorder, mainly mania or bipolar. If your son has bipolar depression, then it is a good drug for him. That would help to stabilize the mood and prevent manic or depressive episode. It has some side effects, but these are bearable. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
