Is VDRL Diagnose Sexually Transmitted Disease?

Hi sir pls i have one Q for u ,one of my friend got vdrl i meet one doctor he given him treatment after i got negative report. then i go to see before doctor . he told that is impossible hw pls i am taking ur advice pls other ways i will come personal to come and see u sir.

Herllow Thanks for posting query to health magic.
I am slightly confused about your query as it is not clear that you have undergone test or your friend for VDRL. Further VDRL is a test to diagnose Syphillis i.e. STD.and its result come as reactive and non reactive .So you should confirm that what result did you get .If you got the test as non reactive and you dont have any genital ulcer than no need to worry about possibilities of syphillis .If you got reactive result you have to confirm further with some other test for syhillis like TPHA or FTA Abs because reactive result may get in some other non STD condition .
