Is Tylenol Safe To Take Along With Codeine?

HiCongested Heeart Failure also have Diabetes I have seen my Dr this morning for a viral infection I am coI have read the side effectsughing and wheezing I do have COPD She put me on cough syrup generic brand for Tylenol with Codine I have read the side effects and I am scared to take it The instructions are to take I or 2 teaThank Youspoons at bed time . My main concern is having an allergic reaction any suggestions would be helpful . Thank you Janet

Hello,

The combination of Tylenol and Codeine is a very commonly used one, whether in pills or oral solution.

I am not sure what you've read but there isn't any particular interaction or added risk from taking them together and aren't medications commonly associated with allergic reactions.

So while any medication has some potential side effects there is no reason to fear allergic reactions or other serious consequences from this particular combination and that dosage.
