Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your friend have symptoms of fever and nasal congestion which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and compromised immunity of body as well.

I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take decongestants. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetrizine.

Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days.

You should get blood test done. You should get an x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined.

You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet.

Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
