Is Trulicity Advisable For Diabetes While Having GERD?

I am a type 2 diabetic about to start Trulicity. If I am having some issues with my gallbladder, will Trulicity aggravate those symptoms? My doctor did do blood work to check my liver, lipids and thyroid. I will take my first shot on Sunday and was wondering if there should be concern as I do have GERD and some digestion issues. My doctor was aware of these issues when prescribing Trulicity. He does not plan to leave me on this drug indefinitely, he is just trying to improve my numbers in the morning and to drop some weight which he says is my worst enemy. Thanks.

Hello,

Proton pump inhibitors may elevate the gastrin levels lead to promote b cell mass and effective control of blood sugar.

So you can take PPI (GERD) with liraglutide.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
