Is Sporlac Powder Advisable For Diarrhea In A Toddler?

My grandson is 3 years old. He was having cold and cough and occasional fever for the last one week, and was given Advil suspension and Tylenol(children). Fever has subsided, but he has passed loose motion three times to day. He is otherwise normal and very active as usual. He is being fed as usual with white rice and vegetables. He refuses to take normal curds( Yogurt), but likes flavored yogurt. Can we give him sporlac powder or tablets? what is the dosage?

Hi,

Sporac Contains natural probiotics. While it may have benefits in children with loose motion but is not always necessary. If you want to give him, you may use it one sachet once a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
