Is Solfe Effective In Increasing Hemoglobin Level?

I have hemoglobin level of 8.8 and anemic. At the age of 40 with this condition does it result in arresting heavy bleeding. USG report is normal. Till last year the periods are very regular. Last month took the 21 day tablet and continuing for the second month. It ismentioned that these 21 day course is not to be used. Kindly advise as to how many months this course can be used. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Solfe is a combination of iron, vit.b12 and folic acid. It is used to treat iron deficiency anemia, the same as in your case.

If you have been experiencing heavy bleeding, that might be the cause. Otherwise, we should look for other sites of internal bleeding.

Following strict diets can also result in anemia. If you are on any of these diets, please don't, and try to eat healthy to keep your hemoglobin within normal range for you age.

All the best.
