Is Rigevidon The Right Medicine For PCOS?

I have PCOS and saw a doctor for treatment for excess hair on my face. I was prescribed Rigevidon but I can t see anywhere that it helps with hirsutism. I thought it would be Dianette I d be prescribed. Can you please advise whether I should take this pill or ask to change. I m not wanting it for contraception purposes, only to rid myself of my hairy face!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Diane would be a better alternative to help with both normalizing the periods and also dealing with excess hair growth.

The rigevidon would help to normalize the periods but would not necessarily improve the hirsuitism.

PCOS is commonly associated with increased weight and weight loss is also associated with improvement of symptoms as well.

You should speak to your doctor about your concerns.

I hope this helps
