Hi,

I understand your concern. Scratch can cause transmission of the rabies virus. Rabies is very fatal disease. If the dog did not appear ill during the 10 days of observation or after, then the dog is healthy and without rabies.

The person who was bit does not need any rabies vaccination. But it is very difficult to trash stay dog. I wold suggest to follow appropriate anti rabies vaccination schedule according to your doctor advise. Make sure that there is no infection and pus formation at bite site. If infection occur topical antibiotic will help.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
