Is Primolut Depot Shot Advisable For Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy?

I am Rhoda, I have had 4 miscarriages and now I am 4weeks pregnant my Dr ask me to take progesterone 5, each for a week. And now the pregnancy is 7weeks and am bleeding the scan reads my baby is okay, so my Dr has to put me on another injection which is premolute depot for each for a week now the pregnancy is 20weeks old.

I can understand your concern regarding the safety of Primolut depot shot during pregnancy. Primolut depot shot is absolutely safe during pregnancy. Injection Primolut depot contains a hormone Hydroxyprogesterone which helps to protect pregnancy as it is commonly prescribed for the treatment of early abortion. Take this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.

Have regular antenatal checkup, take iron and folic acid tablets, a healthy balanced but nutritious diet, avoid lifting heavy objects, travelling or other exertions.
