Until I get to see a rheumatologist on Tuesday can I take the dosage of 15 mg Predisone which was prescribed by my former Dr. to help ease the itching?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In people with psoriatic arthritis, they may occasionally be used to temporarily relieve pain and to avoid allergies. It is used for temporary relief.

Non-biologic DMARDs are the medicines which slow the disease process by modifying the immune system.

They are the mainstay. Cyclosporine, often prescribed in combination with methotrexate are the mainstay of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
