Is Prednisolone 5mg The Right Medicine For Chronic Dry Cough?
Hi, i have been having a dry cough for the last four months,last week my doctor put me on predinsolone 5mg,i was taking six tablets once a day,today when i went for review, i was put on Budesonide inhaler and S-NUMLO-5 because my pressure was also high.Is it safe

I have gone through your query. Prednisolone (corticosteroid) can be used for acute allergic condition for short duration. After that it is better to go with inhalation corticosteroid. That is why you are given inhalation corticosteroid budesonide. Inhalation corticosteroid is considerably safe and better in case of hypertension also as it won't go much in to systemic circulation.
