Is Polyethylene Glycol Advisable For Restricted Bowel Movement And Flatulence?

I just had surgery to remove a small bowel obstruction 1 week ago. I am now having small bowel movements and passing gas but have a lot of discomfort. My physician prescribed polyethylene glycoL but I haven t used it yet for fear of more pain and discomfort. Would I be better off taking it or not nO MONEY RIGHT NOW

now in any surgery for obstruction pain is always going to occur for few days its not to worry but polyethylene is used to prevent adhesion of your bowel wall to each other so i would prefer you to take it because if not taken it may cause severe reobstuction infertillity and chronic pelvic pain
