Is Plan B Birth Control Safe?

I have a question about the use of my birth control and whether or not I should invest in Plan B. I use a generic 21 day form of birth control. Last month I missed a couple pills, but doubled up the following day once I realized I missed it. This month (I am on day 11) and have not missed any pills. However, I do not take the pills at a consistent time everyday, I usually take it between 10pm and midnight everynight. Last night I had unprotected sex (and he came inside me) before I took my pill for the night. As soon as I got home I took the pill (around 2am). Is there a chance I could get pregnant? Should I get Plan B?

Hello,

Yes, you should take Plan B within 72 hours. It is safe. Do continue to take your regular birth control pills as the efficacy of Plan B is 89% when taken with a regular birth control pill. You are recommended to take the regular birth control pills at the same time regularly, try not to miss it so that that the efficacy of the medication does not get reduced.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
