Is Pepto-Bismol Advisable For Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea?
For 4 days now I have had severe abdominal pain followed by the urge to go to the bathroom. When I do, a mucus or slimy substance came out the first day or 2. Now my stool is very loose and black. I have taken 1 dose of Pepto-Bismol yesterday morning. Any tips?

From history it seems to be case of acute gastroenteritis.
Mucus can be seen normally as well in stool and in excess fatty meal intake also.
Antibiotic course like ofloxacin and ornidazole combination can be prescribed.
Rabeprazole can taken for week.
Avoid excess spicy foods
Semisolid diet useful.
Drink more water.
Probiotic tablet for week can be prescribed
