Is Parkinson's Disease Curable Through Any Alternative Medicine Apart From Allopathy?
My father aged 67, a parkinson was diagnosed and treated with allopatheic medicine. He is also having hypertension . Physically he is slim, always prefered simple healthy diet, no smoking and alchohol. Along with all these sitution he is feeling energy crises and no improvement by medicine. what do you suggest.
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative illness that occurs due to loss of some neurones in brain mainly dopaminergic. The main aim of drug therapy in Parkinson's disease is to replenish the lost amounts of dopaminergic neurotransmission. Commonly Levadopa, Carbidopa etc are used. Entocapone, Pramipaxol, Ropinirol etc are other drugs used commonly in Parkinson's disease.
The disease can be treated or controlled but can't be cured. Try to understand what I mean to say. Complete cure is not possible. The treatment is with allopathic medicines only and I don't think any alternate mode of treatment is useful in Parkinson's disease. Surgery and deep brain stimulation are other options but with limited success.
Thanks, Take care
