Is PCOS A Hindrance For Conceiving Naturally?
Hi, I am 21 years old, I am 170 cm and 52 kg, I went to my doctor a few days ago and found out to have microcystic ovaries, My period has always been irregular and I took birth control for the past 2 years, I stopped a couple of months ago and my period is still not regular. I am very healthy, eat well and don't have any acne, weight problems,but my concern is: can I get pregnant in the future? I am very concerned because my doctor says that many women fall pregnant without problems, but other doctors say that even if you fall pregnant with PCOS the pregnancy can be very risky.

Pcos us a hormonal disorder. Usually women with PCOS may have obesity ,acne irregular cycles ,facial hair and difficulty in conceiving naturally.
You gave only irregular cycles. Your weight is ok for your height and you were in birth control. If after stopping contraception if you still don't get pregnant in a year then you can consider treatment for same.
There is a slightly increased risk of abortion in patients with pcos but it's definitely not dangerous. Intact mist women with pcos are cured after a pregnancy as their cycles return to normal.
