General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Although Omacillin which contains Amoxycillin is effective in sore throat, Azithromycin is the best drug and I would have given Azithromycin twice daily for 5 days along with warm saline gargle 3-4 times daily to my patient with sore throat. Please consult your doctor if condition persists or worsen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
