Is Olmesartan The Right Medication Post Aortic Valve Replacement?

I was operated about 5 years back for aortic valve replacement. At 2.5 years later I was provided Olmesartan 40 mg for daily consumption. In end-2014, I was operated again for aortic valve replacement. Now the doctors are considering to give Olmesartan as medicine. I am considering if I should take Olmesartan.

Hi,

After aortic valve replacement surgery. Olmesartan is observed to be more competent to manage the patient who have increased post operative renin-angiotensin-aldesteron system increase. If your cardiologist advises it specifically, it would be definitely beneficial to you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
