Is Novamox With Ciplox Advisable For Ear Infection During Pregnancy?

Hi doctor...i am 25 wks pregnant .now i have an ear infection with severe pain and swelling on my left ear and my ENT doctor has prescribed T.novamox 500mg tds ,T.dollo 650mg Q6H,T.Avil Hs×5 days along with Ciplox D eardrops tds.can u pls advice me whether it s safe or not to take during pregnancy

Hi,

Yes. All the medicines (Novomox, Dolo 600 mg & ciplox ear drops as well as tab. Avil are permissible / no harmful at your gestation of pregnancy. Please be sure to drink the medicines after food. Do not take on an empty stomach as the dosage given though high must have been advised in proportion to the infection you have. If you have acidity problem, please follow medicines with a glass of like warm milk. Consult your doctor for any untoward symptom.
