General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a hormonal imbalance disorder affecting menstrual cycle and ovulation leading to difficulty in conceiving.
However, it is a treatable condition and when medications are given to correct them, there is a possibility of improvement in chances of conceiving.
What medications are given by your doctor is right and it would help to:
1. Regularize your cycles.
2. Help to ovulate in time.
3. Improve the quality of ovum.
Kindly follow strictly the treatment and follow-up advise as given. Have patience as it may take certain amount of time for you to conceive.
Along with the medications, kindly consume low carbohydrate diet and exercise regularly to reduce weight and to keep your weight under check.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
