Is Motrin The Right Medicine For Fever In A Child?

Hi my 7yr old started running a fever last night, it was at 102. He was given Motrin and the fever went down. This afternoon he started running a low grade temp and he was given motrin again. At 6:30pm today he started complaining his throat hurts a little and he had a temp of 99.6, gave him motrin at 7:20pm and I just checked his temp and it s 101.6

you can try using paracetamol or acetaminophen for the fever. let him gargle if he knows how due to his sore throat. You need to have his throat checked for any kind of infection that might need antibiotics already especially if the fever is persistent.
