Is Montelukast Safe For Treatment Of Cold And Cough In An Infant?
Hi, my 3 year old baby is suffering from cough and cold and severe chest congestion. As it is a very damp weather she is getting chest congestion every 15/20 days. This has been happening for the last 3 months only. Last time she was given nebulization, twice for one day and she was better. This time it didnt work. so she was prescribed Omnacortil Soln, 5ml, 3 times for two days along with montelukast tablests one daily. Is it safe to use for her?

Yes, you can use those drugs as your baby is 3 year old now. If nebulisation also doesn't work we prescribe such medicine and make sure she receives some antibiotic if the symptoms persists even after using that.
