Is Montair Lv Tablet Safe For Pediatric Use?

hi doc this is AD i have a 3 yr old girl child. she falls ill very frequently. starts with a running nose then starts coughing in a day or two which stays there for a while. Usually the cough irritates her more in the night but that does not mean the cough is not there in the day. When the weather changes she is bound to get ill. Now the doctor has prescribed Montair LC Child once a day. Is it safe to give a three year old montair lc Please advise

I can understand your concern for the safety of Montair-LC in children.
Yes, it is generally a safe medication for the children.

The montair LC (Montelukast- which suppresses the inflammation+ Levoceterizine which reduces the allergy manifestation) is very effective in the treatment of cough, cold, running nose associated with wheezing or noisy breathing.
This medication can be given for 2-3 months continuously.
As far as about side effects it may cause drowsiness, dryness in mouth, dizziness, & fatigue, but in comparison these are minor.
