Is Metoprolol Effective In The Treatment Of High Pulse Rate?

37 male have high bp been on Atenolol but they had to switch do to back order put me on latsro I think that s how u say it lol.and it does not have my batea blocker in it.so my pulse stays up I just took it and it was 137/81 pulse 116.but I was at 128/68 pulse 70-80s with atenenolo.just got a different no med today they gave me Metoprolol 50mg Er will this help lower my pulse back down ?pulse I m hypertension

I can understand your concern.
Metoprolol is newer beta blocker. Nowadays, it is preferred beta blocker over Atenolol.
Metoprolol is having least side effects and higher efficiency and efficacy.
So you can definitely take ibuprofen metoprolol instead of Atenolol.
No harm in it.
Metoprolol will control both, high pulse rate and hypertension.
