Is Melas Cream Effective For Acne Scars?
Doctor im having only one acne scar on my forhead since last year.. i tried home made things lik pototo,cucumber,alo vera n also some cream but none of them help in reducing that scar.
yesterday i hav seen TV advertisment for Melas cream for reducing dark spot n blemishes
can it be effective to reduce that particular mark? otherwis my skin in normal n medium fair..
pls advise

Melas cream contains a potent steroid, which is not recommended for post acne hyperpigmentation or acne scars. It can cause irritation besides other side effects like acne, photosensitivity etc
I would advice that you seek a proper consultation from a dermatologist. Your dermatologist might ask you to use a sunscreen throughout the day along with a skin lightening cream containing ingredients such as kojic acid, glycolic acid, azaleic acid to lighten the hyperpigmentation of acne scar.
Besides, you could also go in for spot peeling sessions from your dermatologist.
