General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. I have gone through your question. Meftal -p is usually used for abdominal pain. Since your son has cough,it seems he has an upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest to start with an antibiotic like amoxycillin 200mg/5ml. 5ml three times a day along with crocin syrup, 5ml 4-5 times a day. Do consult a doctor if the fever does not subside. Thanks and Regards.
