Is Mefkind Syrup Advisable For High Fever In A Child?

Hi sir my child age is 6 year old he get a fever 104 degree doctor told to put mefkind syrup but he have annual day function tomorrow he have to go to school which syrup is better to cool temperature with in few hours. Please help me doctor as soon as possible.

The prescribing drug is good.

As your son is suffering from fever having 104 degree Fahrenheit.
I think you can try paracetamol suppository 250mg per rectaly if temp more than 101 degree Fahrenheit.
Tepid sponging will help to lowering the temperature.

If no improvement occur please consult with prescribing doctor.
