Is Mefigest The Right Medication To Reduce The Size Of Uterine Fibroid?

I m dr Shaheen unmarried I hv multiple intra mural uterine fibroid with regular heavy bleeding since last 15 yrs the size is 4 cm gradually size is increasing starting size is 2-4 mm gynaecologist suggest Mefigest 20 mg/day fr 3 months for d purpose of decreased size of fibroid

I understand your concern.
Mifegest contains Mifepristone, which is a synthetic steroid having anti-progestin activity, and used for abortion and as anti-cancer agent.
Low-dose mifepristone administration has showed success as a treatment for uterine fibroids, or benign growths in the muscular tissue of a woman's uterus.
Hence, kindly take the drug and do the necessary follow-up as suggested by your doctor.
In case the response is not good, you may have to go for its removal by means of surgery.
