MX3 capsules mainly contain mangosteen (and its 3 isomeric constituents) which is a fruit extract reported to have several uses such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antihistaminic properties. However, the FDA has approved it as a verified or functional drug to treat any particular condition. It is considered a dietary supplement.

Insomnia is (oddly enough) not one of its major claims of therapeutic effect. The good news though is very little has been written regarding side effects or adverse reactions so it may be relatively safe. Notwithstanding, I would not prescribe this entity to my patients to treat insomnia since no clinical data exist to support such use. If you are interested in taking this supplement then, the recommended dosage (depending on which formulation you purchase) will be on the label.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
