Is Lyrica The Right Medicine For Fibromyalgia And Anxiety?
Hello, I have fibromyalgia and anxiety. I am currently in lyrica 150 symbalta 30 2 times a day. I also take burspar 15 mg and also imenazole 40. I am concerned about my stomach with all these meds. I am 60 years old female with no other health problems. I am so anxious all the time. I used to take lexapro but they hanged it
If there is no improvement at all in your anxiety with these medications, then you should speak to your doctor so that a change can be made.
It is understandable to be concerned re the use of multiple medications but this is done commonly done.
There is a risk of interaction between Lyrica and Buspar- both of these medications increase serotonin levels. If the levels increase to very high levels then this can cause problems.
Some persons do not have any problems with the combination. They do not cause any permanent damage to the stomach or gi tract.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
