Is Losartan 50mg An Equivalent Dosage Of Lisinopril 10mg?

I was prescribed Lisinopril 10 mg for high blood pressure but the cough is so bothersome that my doctor just switched to Losartan but the dosage is 50 mg. Seems so high but I know medications have different levels. Does this seem equivalent to the 10mg Lisinopril?

Hi,

Yes, Losartan 50 mg is equivalent to lisinopril 20 mg. Lisinopril is frequently associated with dry nonproductive cough, which is troublesome to the patients. So losartan is the best alternative available for it. Take 1 tablet at bedtime 24 hourly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
